Kung Fu Panda – A lesson for teachers

I had written a post long back A perfect Teacher, until recently I watched the movie Kung Fu Panda, my whole perception changed about teaching.
Lesson 1: What ever happens is not a mistake
Lesson 2: Believe in the person you want to teach
Lesson 3: Identify, what the candidate is interested on, find a new method and teach
Finally Lesson 4: There is no special ingredient.
The final lesson about the special ingredient is the most important one.
Imagine you are on the 100 meters dash, competing with a world record athlete , what is the difference or the distance between you and professional athlete while winning the race.
It can’t be 100 meters for sure, the difference is nothing but impact of lesson 3, and lesson 2
Lesson 3 is nothing but practice, dedication on what you want to achieve.
Practice makes a man perfect, that involves failures. Those are the stepping stone to success.
Lesson 2 is Believe in yourself first, and never give up, even when the whole world is totally against you. When you start believing in your self first, rest of the world will start believing in you.
No one can inject knowledge, Unless you wish to acquire them.
Lesson 1 may seemed incidental, but not true. Unless you wanted things to happen the way expected.
No one can stop your growth, unless you wanted to.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – 7+ star ratings
I am a fan of Indie, The latest movie “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” did live up to the expectation.
To tell you the fact I was excited when they planned for this new movie but I didn’t set any high expectation, as Harrison Ford was already old. After seeing the movie, Man this guy still seems to rock at this age. Hats of to you sir.
I have seen the previous sequential, With a great director like Steven Spielberg, how could the movie fail, at the same time I felt bad, that the story of this movie had to do with the interest of Steven Spielberg. If you have seen all the Steven Spielberg movie you could predict this one too. The one liners and those punching dialogue are not that notable like the older sequential, very few.
The set, special effects and sound is excellent. Worth watching with the family.

New Billa, Yes a good mass entertainer
Yesterday, I had been to the movie new Billa, featuring Ajith. The remake of Billa is worth, but still cannot match the old Billa featuring Rajinikanth.
Why the new Billa can’t match the old Billa?
- Obvious reason, No Rajinikanth
- Logic is missing. On the data being copied on a USB pen drive, how much time does it take for people to make multiple copies or maintaining copies of data online. And hero fighting just for the USB drive is meaning less.
- Introduction of new Billa look alike , sounds weird. As Prabhu searches the database of a Billa look alike. In old Billa, the introduction of look alike Billa was accidental.
Inspite of all the too much techie, the movie seems to a entertainer, 3 hours just turned in to minutes.
Exceptional sexy glamor role by Nayanthara aka Angelina Jolie of South India (kolliwood), It was more of Matrix and Tomb Raider roles for her. Ajith was just delivering punch dialogues.
Excellent entertainer, worth watching – “Techie Logic missing”.
LEAVE STEVE JOBS ALONE!
Just happened to stumble upon justine’s blog, an ardent apple fan . Her video remarked to be either sarcastic or she really felt for Steve Jobs.
The whole world knows when you buy new Gadgets or Status icon products, they are meant to be bit pricey and as time passes by, old models have to give way for the new model products and the prices have to be slashed in order to keep the old one in the market to meet the manufacturing cost of the production.
I bought my Nokia N70 in India, when the product was just launched it was 25000 INR (USD 500 approx.) and 6 months down the lane it was 15000 INR (USD 300 approx.). Does it mean, we all send mails to Nokia.
What a crap, There are still Iphone users who believe that they have premium product or atleast an usable product.
Well I love Apple for the WOW/usability products, being an ardent fan of the PC for years, I do have second hand Ipod mini Apple did replace the batteries free of cost after 1 yr and would love to possess the Iphone when it hits the Indian market.
Steve I am not complaining, just get us the Iphone to India, even if you hike and reduce the price, there will Indians Apple fan who love your products.
One thing I would like to say “Steve you have crazy Apple fan, who makes crappy videos out of your name”

Wildhogs – true essence of bikers
Dudes these guys rock, Yeah you guessed it right, it is about bikers. I am sure most of us have a group, right from childhood, If you have taken a road trip with your bunch of friends, you will surely love this movie. Most details of movie surely covered my road trips. I had been on road trips twice with my friends and planning for the third, coming week end.
Starring Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence & William H Macy
Why I love this movie?
It is the character William H Macy , a computer geek and not so great biker, making mistakes, At the end of the movie he wins what he wants. He seems to be the looser from the very start of the movie, but wins his hearts desire.
Bikers Attitude?
The essence of bikers is actually conveyed in this movie. You don’t have to be true bikers (macho, arrogant etc), all it needs is the love to go on a long drive and enjoy with friends.
Sure it did win my heart.

Why Live Free or Die Hard for director Len Wisemen?
The director of this movie Len Wisemen has seen this movie about 19 years before and has been making short films on his own with the die hard theme when he was young. So you can see his passion coming live in this movie Live Free or Die Hard.
My favorite hero John Mclane (Bruce Willis) is alive, cool headed, with life – head on attitude. The best part of John Mclane comes with his unusual situational dialogs with are actually kick ass.
The movie is still not released in India. Don’t watch Live Free ot Die Hard on a DVD, Please visit the theaters for some kick ass dialogs, movie stunts and a never give up Bruce Willis.
