The golden age – Old age

IMG_2310_s

For many or almost any person who live, it is about living and passing on generations to come. I read a post of a young blogger Prerna ,I am quite amazed by her thought process. I am about to answer a portion of her question – old age.

Once I was like her, liberated, lived my life, took life head on. Yes, I was the King at home, until now.

Age is catching up, I realize my body doesn’t go along with my mind. Yup, I am still young by mind.  I am about to tell you my experience, Which will surely put me in shame, at least it will be a good thought process for the readers.

My friends couldn’t believe, that my Mom and yours truly don’t get well along. She is sweet, I too love her, just that she get on to the nerves . It is because she loves me tooooo much, at all times she doesn’t want me to get hurt. I am still a boy for her.

Incident:
My kid was growing under my parent’s vision, which I didn’t like. My first son did some thing mischievous, I scolded him. She couldn’t take it. We fought over the issue. My parent left my home, Well they are at my native place now, awesome home when I want retreat, I spend some time there. Currently I have one satisfaction, they don’t get to know my pressure which I now undergo, else they would feel depressed for each and other thing and spoil their health. They are happy, they call up, talk to us. I am the one who feels guilty as charged for not taking care of my parents.

This is what happens when you don’t respect elders, why would they need to put up with you.

Remember one thing – You too are getting old, You too will have the same situation, facing your son or daughters. What you teach and behave is what your children do to you.

Yes, everybody feels insecure, when age catches up.

I will tell you about another incident of an unknown friend, She fought with her in-laws over custody of her children, she even went a head a complained at police station. People who provoked her are happy at home with their families.

What her husband and her in-laws undergo the public embarrassment did take a toll on her family life. Will not certainly share what she is going through. Some one’s misery is always happiness for public.

It should be worth fighting for, not for some small issues, Life threatening ones. Do fight it seriously. At times being submissive does means you lost the fight, at times it means you respect them, at times you forgive their ignorance, at times you teach you children how to be submissive. ;)

How I got interested in Photography ?

Photography is my passion now my livelihood. I have faint remembrance of yashica electro 35 a range finder, film camera which was a proud and prestigious possession of my uncle who had just returned from gulf. The best part is that very few camera owners knew about the working technology. Most of them flaunt by taking few clicks of their relatives, friends and soon on. Finally when they are broke would sell them off.

I own one such vintage camera after my marriage. My father in law, who was a proud owner, never sold it nor gifted it to me or rather say that i forcibly took it from him for the love of photography.

For my 1st son’s birthday I bought a Olympus sp 500uz power shot type camera which was slightly better than the point and shoot. That marked the end of film rolls at my place. What I loved this camera was the macro shots and manual controls which a dslr has but had to dig in to menus to get the right settings.

When my 2nd sons was born I was still hanging around with my Olympus, a colleague brought a canon 1000D he took few photos of us. The picture quality and the results prompted me to buy the Dslr.

So I bought my canon 500D been shooting since 2007.

I always wanted to set out early in the morning for my photo shoots. Learnt that I had to kick two of my bad habits

  1. Smoking cigarettes
  2. Consuming alcohol

The side effects of late night alcohol consumption is that, if you tend to wake early you have bad head ache, yes I meant the hang over. Were as for the Cigarettes, if you smoked early morning, you know what happens, Nature call you first. lol.

Now I pass the blog tag to

Ghost and the Devil

It took 2 months to grow the beard and moustache, people around me started to ask me "Is any thing wrong?" Thank you all, for being patient with me. The photos didn't turn out really well, but effort and time gives you a better experience. My wife and I really enjoyed taking the photos while our babies 8 months and 8 year old were sleeping.

The inspiration was from my grand ma, She use to tell me about those horror stories and she showed me on how to lit the teeth red with incense. Oh I did do the other part of lifting the eye lids upwards, it was really painful, and eyes started pumping out water. So this Photo is dedicated for my grand ma. Miss you Grand ma, my sons are also missing you badly.

End of crib

It is been a long time since I wrote a blog post, The reason being that I have been trying to find some inner peace. At least to change myself rather than the outside world.

Some of my posts would have been just rants, raging about the quality of service which I expected. Things have changed now with the bad economics

I happened to read a few lines of Andrew Matthews, “Happiness in a nutshell” it is an eye opener.

One such lines are these which made me think

“Your mission in life is not to change the world.
Your mission is to change yourself.
There are no “outside” solutions
only “inside” solutions

So is the change in myself. End of crib, could be my last blog post.

Kung Fu Panda – A lesson for teachers

Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda

I had written a post long back A perfect Teacher, until recently I watched the movie Kung Fu Panda, my whole perception changed about teaching.
Lesson 1: What ever happens is not a mistake

Lesson 2: Believe in the person you want to teach

Lesson 3: Identify, what the candidate is interested on, find a new method and teach

Finally Lesson 4: There is no special ingredient.

The final lesson about the special ingredient is the most important one.

Imagine you are on the 100 meters dash, competing with a world record athlete , what is the difference or the distance between you and professional athlete while winning the race.

It can’t be 100 meters for sure, the difference is nothing but impact of lesson 3, and lesson 2

Lesson 3 is nothing but practice, dedication on what you want to achieve.

Practice makes a man perfect, that involves failures. Those are the stepping stone to success.

Lesson 2 is Believe in yourself first, and never give up, even when the whole world is totally against you. When you start believing in your self first, rest of the world will start believing in you.

No one can inject knowledge, Unless you wish to acquire them.

Lesson 1 may seemed incidental, but not true. Unless you wanted things to happen the way expected.

No one can stop your growth, unless you wanted to.

Honda hybrid now in India

Good news for people in India who care for the environment, but the cost of these cars will be dear to their pockets. With 104 percent duty levied by the Indian Government the ex showroom price would be 21.50 Lakh INR.

Here are the details about the new Honda Hybrid from the Honda Indian website

Wish there are more buyers, so that Honda thinks about having a plant in India, as we could see the prices of these cars coming down.

My best wishes for the Honda Team – Power of dreams

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – 7+ star ratings

I am a fan of Indie, The latest movie “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” did live up to the expectation.
To tell you the fact I was excited when they planned for this new movie but I didn’t set any high expectation, as Harrison Ford was already old. After seeing the movie, Man this guy still seems to rock at this age. Hats of to you sir.

I have seen the previous sequential, With a great director like Steven Spielberg, how could the movie fail, at the same time I felt bad, that the story of this movie had to do with the interest of Steven Spielberg. If you have seen all the Steven Spielberg movie you could predict this one too. The one liners and those punching dialogue are not that notable like the older sequential, very few.

The set, special effects and sound is excellent. Worth watching with the family.

I watched this movie at Satyam Cinemas, Chennai, India last Saturday noon show.Technorati Tags: , , , , , , ,

A perfect Teacher

A perfect teacher would be, when his own children be able to learn from his teaching
Vinod V V

Have you seen a teacher’s son/daughter getting low grades, Mostly. The reason being that as parents we tend to shower our love on our children and they completely take advantage of the situation. A perfect teacher/parent is one who understand the strength and weakness of their children and teach them accordingly.

Isn’t that true.Technorati Tags: , , , , , , ,
