Spot your Train/ Find your Train – Indian Railways

By vinodvv

How many times have you been to the railway station to pick up your relatives or friends and waited on the station for more than a hour.
The best part is you tend to go little early and the train comes too late and you find yourself aloof in the railway station
here is a link which runs a small service on Indian Railways website.

Do check out for the best features of the service
Find your Train - if you want to know on which station the train has just crossed, all you need to provide the source and the destination

Spot your train – this will tell you when the train started from the source station and what is the expected arrival time on the destination

Very decent, attractive, as clearly mentioned by Faraz and Deepak. I would add the following:

Decent attractive highly technical and ABSOLUTELY USELESS information. Great job by Indian Railways to add (ETD), (ETA). Expected time of arrival and Expected time of departure. By putting these red colored indicators, Indian Railways escape the job of updating the website. All that they have to do is to put this ETD or ETA to schedule timetable and watch the fun!

Tha fecility is highle useful. It saves our valuable time and avoids monotonus waiting in the station for some one whose arrival is very important factor. But the actual running of the train should be revised atleast for one hour, since the trains may either gain or loose running time. hope the latest techniques are best utilised for better service.
